Fee Increase - 1st July 2024
Dear Valued Patients,
There will be an increase in the fees for our medical consultations effective from 1st July 2024.
Please see below for further information on the changes and how they may affect you. We will continue to offer our pensioner patients a discount – which will be $34 off the standard consultation fee and $60 off our long consultation fee.
This decision is never taken lightly, but is necessary due to increasing costs of running our medical practice and our commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of healthcare we provide.
This will allow us to continue to bulk bill for the many other services we currently provide, such as wound care, government vaccine administration and health care assessments.
Registered practitioners at GCMP are independent contractors who operate under their own ABN and insurances, with the practice providing administrative support. All decisions regarding client treatment and care are the responsibility of the individual practitioners - please don’t hesitate to reach out and discuss this with your GP if you have concerns.
We cannot thank you enough for your ongoing support of our practice.
Standard Appointment - $99 (Medicare rebate of $41.40 , out of pocket $57.60)
Pensioner - $65.00 (Medicare rebate of $41.40 , out of pocket $23.60)
Long Appointment - $190.00 (Medicare rebate of $80.10 , out of pocket $109.90)
Pensioner Long - $130.00 (Medicare rebate of $81.10 , out of pocket $49.90)
Prolonged Appointment - $290.00 (Medicare rebate of $118 , out of pocket $172.00)
Pensioner Prolonged - $200.00 (Medicare rebate of $118.00 , out of pocket $82.00)
Out-of-pocket costs are accumulated across all medical services where part of that service is covered by Medicare or a private Health fund. The total of your out-of-pocket/gap payment is recorded by Medicare and goes toward the threshold, your 'safety net'. Once this is reached you will receive an additional rebate of 80% of your out-of-pocket costs. (See the table above)
