Dr Ethel Gilbert
General Practitioner - MBChB (Edinburgh), FRACGP, DCH, DRCOG, DFFP
Dr Ethel Gilbert has worked in Mona Vale since 2008 and has extensive experience in General Practice, both on the Northern Beaches, and rurally in Moree, Murwillumbah, Alice Springs and Scotland.
She has previously worked in a variety of posts including emergency medicine, as a police surgeon and with the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
She is confident with all aspects of general practice, and enjoys looking after all ages whether acute or chronic illness.

Ethel regularly reviews major peer GP medical publications.

She enjoys living on the Northern Beaches in Sydney with her family.

Dr Fiona Collins
General Practitioner - MBChB (Edinburgh), FRACGP, MRCP, DRCOG, DSRH, DTM&H
Dr Fiona Collins has 20 years’ experience in General Practice and has been living and working on the
Northern Beaches since 2014. She enjoys seeing men, women and children of all ages, and helping older patients stay healthy for as long as possible.
She has a special interest in Womens’ Health including fertility, contraception, pregnancy, postnatal care
and perimenopause.
When not at work she enjoys ocean swimming, reading and watching her children doing sports. She is an
active member of the surf-life saving community and is on patrol regularly over the summer season.

Dr. Ainslie Maddock
General Practitioner – MBBS (Hons) FRACGP DCH CWH

Ainslie is an experienced local GP, having lived and worked on the Northern Beaches for more than 10 years. After graduating from the University of Sydney with Honours, Ainslie worked at Royal North Shore, Sydney Children’s and the Royal Hospital for Women, and completed further studies gaining the Diploma of Child Health and Certificate of Women’s Health.
Ainslie takes a patient centred approach to helping people improve their health and wellbeing, and values preventative health and patient education. She loves the variety that general practice brings, and having 3 young boys herself, particularly enjoys supporting families through pregnancy, early childhood and beyond.

Dr Marcia Whalen
General Practitioner – BSc, DO USA, FAOASM, FRACGP
Dr Marcia Whalen moved with her family to Australia in 2017, spending her first 5 years in Armidale NSW. She comes with 20 years of experience in a General Practice and Sports Medicine .
Her experience in sports medicine spanned from Chief of Service for the Cleveland Clinic’s West Coast Brain and Body program to Head Team Physician for USA Water Polo Olympic teams for 5 years.

Dr Hilary Johnston
General Practitioner - FRACGP MBBS DipEd
Hilary is an experienced GP who completed her medical studies at Western Sydney University and has gained a wide variety of experience working in various Sydney hospitals.
​
Hilary is interested in all aspects of general practice, in particular women’s health, adolescent medicine and peri/menopause. Hilary also provides MTOP (medical termination of pregnancy).
​
Dr Johnston volunteers with the Street Side Medics and also works as a medical educator for doctors training to be GPs with the RACGP. Prior to her medical studies, Hilary worked as a professional musician and music teacher in both London and Sydney.

Hilary enjoys spending time on the Northern Beaches with her family.

Dr Michelle Howland
General Practitioner – BSc (Hons) MBBS (Syd) FRACGP
Dr. Michelle Howland is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who has been caring for the local community since completing her medical degree at The University of Sydney in 1998. With over two decades of experience, she brings a warm, patient-centred approach to every consultation.
Dr. Michelle Howland has a special interest in women’s health, paediatrics, mental health and adolescent health. Her commitment to building long-term relationships and empowering patients to take charge of their health makes her a trusted and valued member of the medical community.
Dr Howland is a mother of 4 school age children and in her spare time she volunteers for the GP’s in Schools Programme.
Michelle is known for her gentle, attentive manner and ability to put patients of all ages at ease. Whether you're seeking routine care or support through more complex health concerns, Dr.Howland provides expert guidance with empathy and professionalism.
